When is the wet season in the Whitsundays?

Predominately the wet months are January-March however this is the tropics so we always have a wet weather back up available.

What time does the ceremony start?

You can start anytime you like however most start between 3-4pm due to the cooler part of the afternoon arriving and you will also start to get some shade from the palm trees on the lawn area. You do not have to time the ceremony around the tide due to it not being very tidal around the headland.

What if I don’t want to stay the three nights in the wedding ceremony package?

You can just hire the lawn area for the ceremony which still includes the celebrant, white aisle carpet, 22 covered or folded chairs, champagne toast for all guests after the ceremony and a bar set up for weddings over 20 guests.

Do you have childcare facilities at the hotel?

No, we don’t however we have contact numbers for local nanny companies that can come to the resort and look after any children attending the wedding.

Do you have dress pressing facilities?

Not at the resort but we do have a contact for a local company who can do this for you.

Do my wedding guests receive accommodation discounts?

Are there noise/drink restrictions for a reception outside on the Lawn or Jetty area? If so what are they?

We do not allow any amplified music in these two areas. You can have an acoustic band or you can have a background CD/iPod playing until 10pm. Alcohol can be served until 10.15pm. We allow amplified music in the Clipper restaurant until 10pm and 11.15pm in the Nautilus room.

Is there a minimum spend on the bar tab?

No, you will need to prepay a figure, if you do not reach that amount it will be refunded alternatively if you go over this amount it will be charged to your room account or credit card on the night.

Can my wedding cake be served as dessert?

Yes, however there is a fee for this. It can either be cut and placed on platters for guests to help themselves or we can cut, garnish and serve your wedding cake.
